SARKODIE NOMINATED FOR BET AWARDS

Ghanaian rapper, Sarkodie has been nominated for Best International Act (Africa) in the upcoming BET Awards scheduled for the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, July 2.  He was nominated alongside Nigeria’s Wizkid and Iceprince, Kenya’s Camp Mulla, Mali’s Mokobe and South Africa’s Lira. In 2011m Nigeria;s 2face and Dbanj were joint winners of the award category.
Rapper, Kanye West earned the most nominations with seven nods, six of which came from his ‘Watch the Throne’ collaboration with Jay-Z, who earned five nominations himself. Jay-Z’s wife and mother of 4-month-old daughter Blue Ivy, Beyonce, earned the second highest nominations with six.
The 2012 BET Awards will air be hosted by Samuel L. Jackson while Chris Brown and Nicki Minaj are confirmed to perform at the show.

The Ghanaian fashion taste is now on the high and we cannot be blind at the new styles in vogue. Fashion Night Out, Ghana 2012 has decided to present the brain behind each exotic and adorable design for the year. It is a fashion show which is set to project to the public top-notch African designers who sit up late at dusk to combine their wit on the sewing machine and bring out the best to fit on you.

All geared up to showcase their exquisite outfits are Ambassador Couture, Ejiro Amos Tafiri from Nigeria, Afrikanas from Angola, and Zambia’s Mo’Creations, Benin Republic’s GC Designs among others. And from Ghana we have seasoned designers like Allan David, Kwab Asamoah’s Kustom Looks, Patrick Asante of House of Eccentric, Dreams by Nanna, Afri-Ken Novelty, Wendy L’atisane and Sa4a Collections, among many others.
West Coast Entertainment Ghana Limited with support from the Ghana Tourist Board and Selbani Art World, on May 19th 2012 from 7pm at the Coconut Grove Regency Hotel in Accra, Ghana, promises nothing but exclusives fun packed thrills with over 15 international and Ghanaian designers all coming together from different African countries to showcase the beauty imbedded in our culture through uniqueness and stunning creativity.
The night will be hosted by internationally recognized Africa/UK based Fashion Consultant, Makeba Boateng.
