Accra Nightlife Awards announces categories

The posh Citizen Kofi last Friday, saw the launch of the Accra Nightlife Awards in full glare of the press by event organizers, EDGE53, were they officially announced the various award categories.

The Accra Nightlife Awards organizers explained to the audience that the award ceremony will honour personalities, events and places that have promoted nightlife and entertainment in the capital city and that the actual date and venue for the ceremony would be announced soon.

The award categories and selection criteria will be as follows:

Best Lounge

Best International Restaurant

Best Hotel Bar

Best Casino

Local Gem

Best Bar

Best Late Night Snacks

Best Live Venue

Best Ambiance

Best Nightclub

Best Annual Event

Best Weekly Event

Best DJ

Best Sports Bar

Best Nightlife Photographer

Best Doorman

Best Club MC

Best MC

Best Traditional African Restaurant

Best Concert Promoters

Best Contribution to Nightlife Production.

This is how the whole exercise will be carried out, over 500 active patrons and players of nightlife industry in Accra are to nominate five (5) people in each of the category after which it will be announced to the public where voting will be 50% industry  based and 50% based on public voting via SMS texts.
