Chemphe Honoured Again By Global Conglomerate

Chemphe 'Ghana's King of R & B'
Ghana’s King of RnB Chemphe, after a successful launch of his double P (Campaign for Peace and Against Poverty) project in Accra in 2012, has received one of the biggest surprises of his life.

Chemphe devoted most part of 2012 to pursue his social projects which he made very good strides in the Central and Greater Accra region.

The artiste intends providing basic facilities to “hasuodzie” village, one of the beneficiaries of the project.

Chemphe believes that efficient education and resource allocation is one of the most strategic ways of curbing poverty in Africa. Chemphe added that though the project is funded by his record label (E-Jam Records), he won’t hesitate to accept corporate bodies and media who want to join the campaign since there is a lot to be done.

He mentioned that though the “Global Citizen” song is getting good airplay in Norway where I was released last year, Ghana is about to experience the real outcome from the lyrics of the song.

He mentioned that the project song’s video will be launched this year though the radio stations are permitted to start giving it a very good airplay to promote the project.

Due to the effectiveness of the project, Chemphe has been added to the Care International Headquarters Wall of Fame.

The picture which was taken locally made its way to the Headquarters of Care International to indicate the NGOs support and appreciation for an impressive work done. Chemphe is currently the only Pan African artiste with such honour.

Sarkodie accused of using Designer’s creations for clothing line without permission

@ObjClothing and Accessories has expressed his dissatisfaction with the commercialization of his creations for rapper Sarkodie, without his consent.

He revealed in an interview that he created the concept of a footwear called Obj Sark 1 for the rapper and presented it to him and his management team a year ago, but only recently found out in the media that the rapper had gone ahead to use the concept for his upcoming clothing line, Sarks Collection.

He explained: “I don’t have a problem if Sarkodie and Sammy Forson decide to make their own label, but to copy my idea – the artwork of Sarkodie’s Head – without my consent means none of these guys respected me, my manager, my work and the copyright laws in Ghana. It was something I created and presented to them, with the sneaker I designed and produced called The ObjSark-1 a year ago (17-1-2012)”

Jeremiah also revealed that after trying several times to get in touch of Sarkodie’s manager, Sammy Forson on the phone, when finally picked up his call he had nothing to tell the peeved Jeremiah. “I sent him a message on BBM and finally he responded. I confronted him about what I saw on the internet and he told me that Sarkodie himself designed that artwork; I was Like Wow! Now he has deleted me from BB”.

According to Jeremiah, the development shows a lack of unity amongst Ghanaian artists and a lack of respect for intellectual property. He said that such behaviors stifle creativity especially amongst young and talented Ghanaians. “How can we build a sustainable society if we keep doing? My manager and I were thinking of a Sneaker/Trainer Company in Ghana using The Obj Sark 1 we made as a starting point.

Hopefully this would have shown the way for many Ghanaians to believe in themselves and create a small industry within the country instead of ordering China made goods.”

He concluded, “Let’s learn to keep our word because little ‘little’ disloyal relationships like these turn out to be bigger ones and at the long run, the whole country suffers. Let’s think and do things sustainably, a way that our society would benefit not one that divides us!”

Sonnie Badu lashes back at his ‘haters’

Sonnie Badu
Thanks to the social media and the freedom of speech age, but with a lot of floating comments mainly on Facebook and Twitter, some genuine and others not, one must try as much as possible to put a check on what he or she says.

The gospel sensation Sonnie Badu seems to have been irritated by the critics who wouldn’t let him rest.

What could possibly have been said to tip off the ‘Covenant Keeping God’ hit maker?

The gospel singer tweeted a simple message advising his ‘haters’ to fall back and that only ‘baba’ God can judge him!!.

Please if u don't have anything wise or constructive to say, don't tweet me or FB me.. God is the judge not u!

Sometimes it is very distasteful to read what both fans and sympathizers utter on social media platforms, but then and again if you are in the public eye you should be expectant of such comments.

We are sure Sonnie is the not the first and certainly won’t be the last ‘celebrity’ to be pissed at what is said about them.

Sarkodie Foundation to be Launched this Year

Obidiponbidi
Duncwills Entertainment, the management team of award-winning Hiplife artiste Sarkodie has said plans are far advanced for the launch of a Sarkodie Foundation.

Sarkodie Foundation, will launch sometime this year, management sources have disclosed. The launch of the Foundation will come in handy to compliment the intended unveiling of his Clothing Line Sark Collections, as well as other initiatives planned for him this year.

Currently enjoying enormous appeal at home and abroad, Sarkodie apart from the Clothing Line and Foundation, goes into 2013 with a third studio album Sarkology, in hand.

The album will be the end product of months of hard work, which has also seen him release some hit singles in the process including Hallelujah and Devil In Me.

Who owns 2013: Tiffany or Eazzy?

Tiffany & Eazzy

We shall make this brief and straight to the point, it’s a New Year and certainly old things are past with last year’s buzz of the Brazilian hair, who is leaving who for who, and so on.

Now let’s leave Efya and Becca alone as these two ladies dominated last year with their powerful voices as well as their lifestyle.

So in that vein, the two of Ghana’s finest female emcees that rapidly comes to mind are Tiffany and Eazzy.

Tiffany who popularly goes by Itz Tiffany is a rapper who has made some serious breaking and entering into the Ghanaian music scene with hits like ‘Fake London Boy’, ‘Last One’, ‘Azonto’, among others.

Eazzy baby as fondly called by fans is another female emcee that we hope can rock 2013. Mildred as she presented Africa with remains a force to reckon with or without her ‘Brazilian hair’, as she has gone on low cut now. Her blend of Hip-hop, R&B and Afro Pop, hope to see new dimensions before the end of the year.

So from your view, who do you think between Tiffany and Eazzy, who will rule 2013?

Welcome to the Group-D3, our dear ADELE

D3

Lynx Entertainment’s all-female group D3 has a new member.

The 21 year old Adele is replacing former group member, Angela, “who is taking a break from music to concentrate on her education as she preps for her final Senior High School exams,” the label has said.

In a related development, the group has had a sizzling early 2013 photo shoot. The good-looking ladies went for a rather feisty look in their latest shoot.

The photo shoot Lynx says, “is also a prelude to the release of the girl’s much anticipated sophomore single which features Richie”.

The single is set for release on January 16.
